Almost had to turn this off in the first 30 mins. Sense of impending sadness/grief was a bit much. But after it happens and Peter Jackson gets his magic movie paint pot out it's easy to lose yourself in the story and the dreamy visuals. Liked the 70's setting and the cheeky Lord of the Rings poster in the bookshop. The ending was a bit meh though. Stanley Tucci was creepy mcCreep too.

The Lovely Bones
